Lost & Found

There is no more treasured hunting partner or loyal friend to a houndsman than his dogs. Indeed, they are as much a part of ourselves as our eye color! Houndsmen spend a great amount of time and effort caring for our dogs so it goes without saying that when our dogs are missing, we get very worried. Knowing how it feels to have our own dogs missing, we offer our help to our fellow sporting dog enthusiasts however and whenever we can. As a service to the hunting dog community of California, CHC is pleased to be able to offer our resources to help put missing hounds back in the pens of their owners. If you have lost a hound, or believe it to be stolen, or have found a hound, please send an email to announcements@californiahoundsmen.com and include your name, phone number, and email address; an indication of whether the dog is lost, found, or believed stolen; the approximate age, breed and sex of the dog, the last known location of the dog, the equipment that is/was on the dog at the time (including the frequency and channel of the telemetry collar), and any brands, tattoos or other identifying marks that would help describe the dog.
